J&J/MERCK'S PEPCID AC TV ADS PREMIERE JUNE 8 during network newscasts and highlight Pepcid AC's claim that it can prevent heartburn as well as treat it. The ads were created by Saatchi & Saatchi subsidiary Compton Partners, New York and will air mainly during network news and primetime programming, although some daytime exposure is also planned. Pepcid AC was approved by FDA for OTC use on April 28. Shipping to the trade began the week of June 5 ("The Tan Sheet" June 5, In Brief).
