Executive Summary
REGULAR SUNSCREEN USE CAN REDUCE PRECANCEROUS TUMOR FORMATION, Mark Naylor, MD, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, et al., noted in a study published in the February issue of the Archives of Dermatology. "The regular use of sunscreens can significantly reduce cutaneous neoplasia, as indicated by its suppression of precancerous lesions," the researchers concluded. They added, however, that there was a need for a longer and/or larger study to "demonstrate an effect on malignant lesions."
