VAGINAL CONTRACEPTIVE TFM WOULD BE EXEMPTED UNDER REG MORATORIUM BILL HR 450, "The Regulatory Transition Act of 1995," according to a Feb. 10 press release from the House Government Reform/national economic growth subcommittee chairman Rep. David McIntosh (R-Ind). The TFM was included in a list of five government rules published in the Feb. 3 Federal Register that would not be affected by the reg. The TFM would require companies to file NDAs and conduct clinical trials for FDA approval of OTC vaginal contraceptives ("The Tan Sheet" Feb. 6, pp. 2-5).
