Executive Summary
FDA Center for Food Safety & Applied Nutrition's full-time equivalent (FTE) ceiling will be lowered 5.1% in accordance with FDA's overall 5% agency-wide FTE cut in fiscal 1995 due to a $44 mil. salaries and expenses shortfall ("The Tan Sheet" Sept. 26, p. 12). CFSAN will be reduced to 868 FTEs from the 1994 ceiling of 912. Reductions will take place in all programs, occurring primarily where attrition occurs, FDA said.
