USP/INDUSTRY PANEL RE-EVALUATING "PROCESS VALIDATION" FOR SUPPLEMENTS as part of the U.S. Pharmacopeia's development and review of manufacturing practices for dietary supplements. Panel Chair Ralph Shangraw, PhD, University of Maryland, noted that part of the advisory panel's charge is to consider the "validation of different processing steps" to ensure uniform distribution of ingredients. The panel met Oct. 4 at USP's Rockville, Md. headquarters.
