RN NUTRITION's BONE RESTORE CALCIUM SUPPLEMENT OSTEOPOROSIS CLAIMS would be prohibited without adequate substantiation under a proposed consent agreement between the Federal Trade Commission and RN Nutrition, a Santa Ana, Calif.-based limited partnership managed by George Page Rank and James Nugent. FTC announced on Sept. 2 that it has reached an agreement with RN Nutrition, Rank and Nugent to settle charges that the group made unsubstantiated and misleading claims for the Bone Restore calcium supplement, including a claim that the product "prevents and heals osteoporosis," FTC said.
