IVAX/ZENITH MERGER WOULD CREATE "LARGEST INTERNATIONAL GENERIC" DRUG FIRM, Ivax said in announcing the deal Aug. 29. The two companies generated a combined $570 mil. in generic pharmaceutical sales in 1993, with approximately 75% of that total derived from the U.S., Ivax said.
