CPSC LIDOCAINE, DIBUCAINE CRP PROPOSAL EXPECTED TO BE VOTED ON SEPT. 29 by Consumer Product Safety Commission officers. The CPSC commissioners will decide whether to issue a final child-resistant packaging regulation for lidocaine-and dibucaine-containing anesthetic products based on a briefing packet listing options on the issue that was submitted to the commissioners by CPSC staff at the beginning of August. A briefing on the opinions packet is tentatively slated for Sept. 22.
