Executive Summary
James Gordon, Georgetown University School of Medicine, is named chairman of OAM's Alternative Medicine Program Advisory Council on Aug. 23. The council is charged with identifying emerging issues and areas of research in alternative treatments, supporting research training, establishing a clearinghouse to exchange information with the public and preparing a biannual report on OAM activities. The council's first meeting is scheduled for Aug. 31-Sept. 1 at NIH.
