Executive Summary
Hauppauge, N.Y.-based PDK wins New York State appellate ruling in company's dispute with Nature's Bounty over who had the rights to acquire dietary supplement mail-order distributor Sturdee Co. Following a round of two lower county court decisions, Nature's Bounty formally acquired Sturdee after paying $275,000 to PDK. However, PDK appealed the lower courts' decision which prompted Nature's Bounty to file a $25 mil. suit against PDK charging interference with the contract. As a result of the appellate court decision, PDK said Nature's Bounty's suit has no merit. PDK said it is considering its options, which include suing Nature's Bounty or settling with the company
