Executive Summary
COMBE SCALPICIN ADS WILL BE MODIFIED in deference to a decision by the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, NAD announced June 17. NAD recommended that Combe's television ads for Scalpicin Anti-Itch Liquid be altered to remove the "potentially confusing" references to treatment for dandruff and "clarify the distinct inflammation/irritation itch condition for which the product is formulated." Combe is planning textual changes to the ad to remove some of the dandruff treatment references.
