HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT DECREASES ACUTE CHILDHOOD DIARRHEA DURATION in a recently published randomized, double-blind clinical trial comparing homeopathic medicine with placebo. Published in the May issue of Pediatrics by Jennifer Jacobs, MD, University of Washington, et al., the study of 81 children aged six months to five years in Leon, Nicaragua found that the treatment group experienced a "statistically significant decrease in duration of diarrhea," which was defined as the "number of days until there were less than three unformed stools daily for two consecutive days."
