Commenting on the findings of NCI's Alpha-Tocopherol, Beta Carotene (ATBC), Cancer Prevention Study that were published in the April 14 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine ("The Tan Sheet" April 18, pp. 1-4), the ATBC researcher recommended that other researchers "follow up on the most promising cancer prevention lead from the trial" by testing the "hypothesis in other [clinical] trials."
