REXALL SUNDOWN NET SALES UP 40% IN SECOND QUARTER to $31.9 mil., the company announced April 7. Net income was up 43.9% to $2.1 mil. for the quarter ended Feb. 28. The corporate revenue increase was aided by a 57.7% rise in direct sales via the company's Rexall Showcase Division during the quarter. The vitamin/OTC company's sales to retailers jumped 39% in the quarter while mail order sales grew 25.8%.
