KETOCONAZOLE 1% SHAMPOO RECOMMENDED OVER 2% CONCENTRATION for OTC use in treatment of dandruff symptoms by a Feb. 16 joint meeting of the Dermatologic Drugs and Nonprescription Drugs Advisory Committees. In response to a question posed by the agency about which concentration "would provide the most suitable balance of benefits and risks for OTC use," the committees unanimously voted to approve the 1% ketoconazole shampoo.
