Executive Summary
Homeopathic organizations continue to request exemptions for homeopathic drugs from an FDA proposal to limit the alcohol levels in systemic OTCs. Groups including the U.S. Homeopathic Pharmacopeia Convention, the American Homeopathic Pharmaceutical Association, the European American Coalition on Homeopathy and Dr. Reckeweg & Co. have reiterated arguments made by the American Association of Homeopathic Pharmacists that FDA would effectively be taking homeopathics off the market if alcohol were removed from the formulations ("The Tan Sheet" Jan. 31, p. 12)
