ADVANCED POLYMER SYSTEMS TO FILE NDA FOR PROZONE UVA/UVB PROTECTANT during the second quarter of 1994, the company reported on Feb. 15. The Redwood City, Calif.-based company noted that Phase III safety-in-use trials for ProZone, a prescription melanin-based UVA/UVB sun protectant, have been completed and that Phase III efficacy studies "are nearly completed." Advanced Polymer Systems said it is currently engaged in discussions with FDA "to identify and clarify any potential issues prior to the NDA filing."
