Schering-Plough

This article was originally published in The Tan Sheet

Executive Summary

President and Chief Operating Officer Richard Kogan resigns from Rite Aid's board of directors effective Oct. 18, following the Oct. 14 filing of a private antitrust suit against Schering-Plough and six other drug manufacturers by a retail pharmacy group which includes Rite Aid ("The Tan Sheet" Oct. 18, p. 1). Schering-Plough explained that "in view of the nature of the lawsuit filed by Rite Aid against Schering-Plough, Mr. Kogan felt it would be inappropriate to continue serving on the Rite Aid board".
