Executive Summary
Will be held at the National Academy of Sciences' Main Auditorium, 2101 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. on Nov. 1-3 to "review and summarize the scientific information available" on a potential relationship between antioxidants (vitamin C, vitamin E and beta carotene) and cancer and cardiovascular disease. A focus of the conference, according to an Oct. 22 announcement in the Federal Register, will be the "basis for determining significant scientific agreement" for antioxidant health claims.
