Executive Summary
Plans to introduce an unspecified Motrin line extension in 1993 and another in 1994 under an agreement with McNeil covering OTC ibuprofen development projects, Upjohn VP and General Manager Thomas Laughlin noted. Upjohn expects to debut TV commercials featuring its newest line extension, Motrin IB Sinus, in January and will kick-off the first of a series of free-standing inserts highlighting the product on Nov. 1 ("The Tan Sheet" Sept. 20, p. 3). In addition, Upjohn is "in dialogue" with several pharmaceutical companies regarding marketing agreements for potential switch products, Laughlin said.
