Executive Summary
Oregon Governor Barbara Roberts (D) signs into law on Aug. 2 a bill that exempts rigid plastic containers used for drugs, medical devices, infant formula and medical foods from requirements to use recycled materials. The measure, which was introduced by state Sen. Jeanette Hamby (R-Hillsboro), becomes effective Nov. 5, 90 days after the Oregon senate session ended.
