Executive Summary
SmithKline changes Maximum Strength Contac Severe Cold and Flu formula boxes from 10- and 20-count to 16- and 30-count, and introduces non-drowsy formula Contac caplets. The products began shipping in late July. Promotions for the repackaged and non- drowsy products -- including September and November FSIs -- will support the entire Severe Cold and Flu formula line, the firm said. SmithKline plans to devote over $ 7 mil. in 1993 media support for both its Severe Cold and Flu and Day and Night Allergy/Sinus lines.
