Utah Republican and sponsor of industry-supported dietary supplement legislation tells National Nutritional Foods Association annual meeting on July 17 that he will testify before a July 29 hearing of Rep. Henry Waxman's (D-Calif.) House Energy & Commerce/health subcommittee on supplements. Hatch also encouraged NNFA members to "hang together as a coalition" in lobbying for supplement legislation, adding that "our strength is in mobilizing all 100 mil. of our consumers" to urge Congress to support the Hatch bill and its House counterpart, introduced by Rep. Bill Richardson (D-N.M.).
