Drug interaction campaign

This article was originally published in The Tan Sheet

Executive Summary

Council on Family Health mails out July 15 letter to editors of consumer magazines urging them to run public service ads to educate the public about drug interactions. Proposed PSAs state that: "Medicines are not fashion accessories. You can't mix and match. Or experiment. And there's only only sure way to find out which medications don't go together. Read the label. And be medicinally correct." CFH also plans to develop a Drug Interaction Precaution brochure and a video news release as part of the campaign, which is being executed in cooperation with FDA.
