FDA's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition Deputy Director for Programs Douglas Archer is expected to retire effective Jan. 1, 1994. A 20-year veteran of the agency, Archer has accepted the position of chair of the food science and human nutrition department at the University of Florida, a July 8 memo to CFSAN employees says.
