Executive Summary

Drugstore chain pulls 10- and 30-count packages of its private- label cold capsules off the shelves in all 1,802 Walgreens outlets nationwide on July 13. The action followed one report in Chicago of candy corn being found in Walgreens cold capsules. Walgreens said it does not believe the tampering is a national problem. The chain is investigating the incident and has not yet decided when the cold product will return to market. Perrigo, the manufacturer of the cold caps, has notified FDA
