Executive Summary
Manufacturer of Carnation's Good Start and Follow-Up formulas files suit against Ross Labs, Mead Johnson and the American Academy of Pediatrics in Los Angeles federal court on May 28. The suit alleges that the three groups colluded in "premeditated" and "illegal" market exclusion of Nestle during its 1988 infant formula launch and subsequent marketing of its formula line. Nestle said it filed suit in response to evidence presented in news reports on the recently settled antitrust suits in Florida ("The Tan Sheet" May 31, p. 9).
