Executive Summary
Hires Young & Rubicam Senior VP-Group Creative Director Michael Shevack to head KPR's creative department. At Y&R, Shevack supervised creative campaigns for Colgate and Whitehall, among others. KPR Chairman and CEO Norman Cooper commented that the agency "deliberately looked for someone outside the pharmaceutical area to give our creative work a fresh spark and a different look." He said the firm expects Shevack's appointment to "help significantly in our new direct-to-consumer advertising division." KPR began operating a direct-to-consumer unit in February ("The Tan Sheet" March 1, p. 15).
