Senate Commerce Committee agreed 14-8 to an amendment from Sens. Dorgan (D-N.D.) and Snowe (R-Maine) that is essentially the same as their Pharmaceutical Market Access & Drug Safety Act. Commerce Committee Chairman Stevens (R-Alaska) has threatened to place a hold on the bill in recognition of the Health committee’s jurisdiction over drug importation.
