AARP's Perspective on DTC
Executive Summary
AARP CEO emeritus Bill Novelli offered the association's views on direct-to-consumer advertising in an era of health care reform during the DTC National Congress April 15. Novelli stepped down as AARP CEO earlier this year and is now on the faculty at Georgetown. As a founder of the PR firm Porter-Novelli, he knows a lot about advertising. However, he stressed during the conference that he was there to deliver "the AARP perspective."
