FDA creates senior genomics advisor position

FDA creates a new position in the Office of Chief Scientist dedicated to coordinating and upgrading activities involving genomics and related fields involved in the analysis of complex DNA, protein and small molecular expression patterns. The agency has tapped Liz Mansfield, a scientist who has held high level policy and scientific positions at the FDA and in the private sector, for the position.
