Part D draft call letter withdrawn
Executive Summary
Although not a Federal Register-published regulation, following the president's memorandum asking agencies to freeze pending regs, CMS said Jan. 22 that it is withdrawing its draft call letter for Medicare Part C and Part D bids for the 2010 plan year. CMS issued the letter Jan. 8 (1"The Pink Sheet," Jan. 19, 2009, p. 13). The announcement says that once the letter is reviewed and any changes are made, it will be reposted on the CMS Web site for public comment "as soon as possible.
