Flu vaccine projections
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate the potential number of flu vaccines for the 2007/2008 season will reach 132 million doses - a significant increase from the 120 million produced last year, a CDC spokesman said. Specific dose estimates are as follows: Sanofi Pasteur's Fluzone, 50 million; Novartis' Fluvirin, 40 million; GlaxoSmithKline's Fluarix, 30 to 35 million; and MedImmune's FluMist, 7 million.
