Mark McClellan will stay at the Brookings Institution to lead a new health care group, the former CMS administrator and FDA commissioner says July 24. Among the health care challenges to be addressed by the Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform will be the creation of an active surveillance system for drug safety in the U.S. based on the standardization and coordination of independent data networks.
