Executive Summary
Solomon Iyasu is named permanent FDA Director of the Division of Surveillance, Research & Communication Support, the agency announces Aug. 14. Iyasu, whose responsibilities include directing epidemiologic data resources and drug use analysis teams as well as overseeing patient information and research and contracts teams, previously held the position in an acting capacity. Iyasu joined FDA in 2002 and has served as acting deputy director of the division of pediatric drug development.
