N. Anthony Coles will succeed Hunter Jackson as NPS Pharmaceuticals CEO in six months. In the interim, he will serve in the new position of president and chief operating officer at the Salt Lake City-based company. Following the transition period, Jackson, who founded the company in 1986, will stay on as a director. Coles had been senior VP-commercial operations for Vertex Pharmaceuticals.
