Express Scripts receives subpoena

Executive Summary

New York state attorney general's office issues subpoena to Express Scripts June 16, a recent SEC filing states. "The subpoena seeks information regarding the company's compliance with certain state and federal antitrust and consumer protection statutes," the filing states. It requests information on the pharmacy benefit manager's "contracts and business practices with respect to health plans organized under New York law." The Tennessee and Maine state attorneys general have also been investigating PBM practices; the Maine investigation involves 21 other states.
