Senate Judiciary Committee hopes to mark up Sen. Leahy's (D-Vt.) "Drug Competition Act of 2001" in September. Mark-up of the bill (S 754), which would require brand and generic manufacturers to notify FTC within 10 days of reaching a patent settlement, was twice delayed before the August recess while Committee Chair Leahy and Sen.
