Rhodia agrees to acquire Chirex for $510 mil. Rhodia is a specialty chemical company that develops products for the beauty, clothing, foodstuffs and healthcare markets. Chirex provides contract R&D and contract manufacturing to pharmaceutical and biotech companies. The deal will give ChiRex access to four additional manufacturing facilities as well as to Rhodia's R&D expertise in pharmaceutical process chemistry, Chirex said
