Paperless labeling
Executive Summary
PhRMA task force on paperless labeling will hold open briefing on May 25. The task force will provide the specifics of a vendor selection process. An initial "user requirements" document notes that delivery of the electronic labeling to pharmacies should be accomplished using "existing hardware" or "at no cost to the dispensing site." Glaxo Wellcome and Parke-Davis are pilot testing systems to deliver electronic labels to pharmacies. The briefing will start at 2 p.m. at the Capitol Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C
