Stephen Conafay is promoted to president-Shandwick New York and managing director-North America operations, both newly created positions. Conafay assumes increased responsibility for Shandwick North American profit and process improvement, while maintaining operating responsibility for acquisitions. Before joining the New York-based reputation management firm, Conafay was an executive fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. He has also worked for the Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers of America, Glaxo and Pfizer
