North American Pharmaceutical Division president will be Wolfgang Plischke, PhD, effective Jan. 1. Plischke has a varied background within Bayer: he joined the company in 1980 in the diagnostics division and has served as head of pharmaceutical marketing in Germany and head of worldwide pharmaceutical marketing. Since 1995, he has been president of Bayer's Japanese business, Bayer Yakuhin. He succeeds David Ebsworth, who will be head of Bayer's worldwide pharmaceutical business
