Sterile liquid pharmaceutical manufacturer Automatic Liquid Packaging acquired for approximately $390 mil. in stock. The Woodstock, Ill.-based company has a 450,000 sq. ft. facility, where it manufactures Rx and OTC products, including eye and lens care supplies, for "dozens" of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, with revenues of about $70 mil. for the 12 months ended June 30. ALP will provide a "major new service-line extension" for Cardinal's contract pharmaceutical manufacturing services, the company said.
