Hoechst/Rhone-Poulenc may await Kuwait
The support of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation for the Aventis merger is in doubt, The Financial Times reported Feb. 26. KPC owns 24.5% of Hoechst, and the merger must be approved by 75% of shareholders at a May 4-5 meeting. KPC has a representative on the Hoechst board that approved the merger
