HONcode VOLUNTARY INTERNET MEDICAL INFORMATION STANDARD CERTIFICATION process is being run by the Geneva, Switzerland-based Health on the Net Foundation. The HONcode incorporates eight principles of operation for medical Web sites. Participating sites -- including U.S. Web site operators New York University Medical Center, Stanford Medical Center, the SIDS Network and the Atlanta Reproductive Health Center -- display an HONcode graphic signifying their compliance.
