According to the "Red Book," Biogen's weekly injectable Avonex (interferon beta-1a) costs $852 AWP for a kit including four 30 mcg vials and administration materials, while Berlex' Betaseron (interferon beta-1b), which is dosed every other day, costs $1,080 AWP for a package of 15 vials of .3 mg each.
