GMP warning letters issued by FDA in FY 1996 drop by 40% compared to previous year.

Executive Summary

GMP WARNING LETTERS SENT BY FDA DROP BY 40% IN FY 1996 compared to the number of letters issued during the agency's fiscal year 1995. Between October 1995 and September 1996, FDA issued 59 GMP warning letters to drug manufacturers, repackers and testing laboratories, compared with a total of over 100 in each of the previous two fiscal years (110 in 1995 and 100 in 1994).
