ADVANCED MAGNETICS GASTROMARK TO BE AVAILABLE BY MARCH 1997 following FDA's Dec. 6 approval of the agent "for oral use with magnetic resonance imaging to enhance the delineation of the bowel to distinguish it from organs and tissues that are adjacent to the upper regions of the gastrointestinal tract." Mallinckrodt will market and distribute GastroMark (ferumoxsil oral suspension); the approval triggers a $500,000 milestone payment to Advanced Magnetics.
