OWEN HEALTHCARE CONSOLIDATED PHARMACY AT SENTARA will serve four acute care hospital sites and one home health service through a three-times daily truck distribution system, the pharmacy management company reported. The centralized pharmacy, located at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Va., will dispense 5.3 mil. doses of medication annually, serving an average of 950 patients per day, Owen predicted. Limited dispensing began at the end of March, and the system should be fully operative soon, the company said.
