Bergen Brunswig signs $450 mil. sole-source performance-based contract with Ahold USA.
BERGEN BRUNSWIG $450 MIL. PERFORMANCE-BASED CONTRACT WITH AHOLD USA is the wholesaler's first agreement to feature its Generic Purchasing Program and its Automated Compliance Assurance Program. The three-year sole source agreement includes about 220 pharmacies in 650 food stores operating under the names Bi-Lo, Edwards, Finast, Giant Food and Tops. Bergen previously entered into a sole-source agreement with Stop & Shop, which is being acquired by Ahold.
